New Home in Poznan Poland January 27, 2009
I have arrived in Poznan and am getting settled in. Ola and I have been decorating our apartment and I will put up some pictures of it soon. I am enjoying exploring the city and seeing how people here live. In the winter here some people still heat there houses with coal so there is coal smoke in the air at night. It hangs heavy in the air and I see why some of the buildings are the color of gray that they are.

Not sure what these signs mean… No people, children, cars or houses allowed on this street? But where will they go you say!!! Don’t worry they are allowed on the next street.
This is on of the many entrances to a giant mall that Is near the city center. There is a great grocery store located inside where Ola usually goes to get food. The mall is less than a 10 minute walk from her apartment.
This is the name of a juice company, I wonder about there quality. Haven’t tried it yet.
This is what the construction workers look like in Poznan Poland.

Travels in Poland June 8, 2008
I have been in Poland for about half a month or so. I came in from Berlin to Poznan on the 25th and then headed down to Krakow with Ola and her friend Catie for a couple of days. After that we went back to Poznan for a week and then I helped Ola move out of her apartment. We packed all of her stuff up an put it into a Renault Laguna rental car and drove three hours down to Wroclaw where we visited her Grandparents and then headed over to there a-frame cabin to put Ola’s stuff into storage. We stayed there for 2 nights, did some hiking and great cooking and then headed back to Poznan for a couple of days until Ola caught a flight back to the states. Currently I am back in Krakow and about to watch Poland take on Germany in the Euro2008 Football tournament.
